We’re almost at the end of the week!! Well today’s outfit is all about feeling comfortable but chic. I will be running errands and have a meeting later in the day. It’s a casual meeting, getting some information on a new development for luxury apartments. The project just looks so modern but I want to know about the number side of things. It all comes down to numbers, but any ways, this place gave me an urban modern feel and I thought this would be the perfect outfit for this “meeting”. I can tell you after leaving this place that indeed it was.
Without further ado, today I bring you the art of layering. We’re definitely in that time of year where we question if it’s hot enough outside to wear some light weight clothes or if it’s just the sun and in reality it’s freezing out. Still trying to get used to the West Coast weather, usually in Chicago you don’t think like this ‘till probably March or April. Today’s look I decided to go with dark wash jeans, a striped white and black tank top, a plaid shirt and bomber jacket. For accessories, I went for some grey booties and black and gold rings. This military green paired with black has been one of my favorite colors combos this winter season. My inspiration for this outfit was celebrities “off duty” look, which involves plaid shirts around the waist. Stripes is always something harder for me to wear because it either looks good or makes me look bigger so to offset this I went with the plaid shirt to accentuated my waist. These chunky heel booties are my favorite!! They just have so much detail and can easily be paired with anything. The gold and black rings were of different shapes, which matched the jacket’s zipper color. I like to find little details I can match to bring my outfit together, and this makes for different points of interest. I think this one is one of my favorite layering outfits, usually when I do layering it’s more on the top half of my body but this was a great change for once. Hope you gals enjoyed this outfit!
Smile a lot today we’re so close to Friday!
